If you live in an area where temperatures drop below freezing I'm sure at one point or another you have wondered about Winterizing your plumbing. This blog will answer those questions you may have rolling around in your mind about winterization.


SHOULD YOU WINTERIZE YOUR PLUMBING?

Yes absolutely! If you do not winterize your pipes, It could cost you thousands when they burst or start leaking due to the pressure from the frozen water inside your pipes. When they bust IT WILL cause major problems.


HOW IS THE WINTERIZATION DONE?

We winterize pipes by using Rubatex. This is a rubber insulation we use to wrap around all the pipes which will prevent it from freezing and causing expensive damages to your plumbing system. So, what exactly is Rubatex? Rubatex is a specially designed flexible elastomeric insulation product that protects plumbing systems from freezing pipes, aging pipes, and compression set. HOW MUCH WILL WINTERIZING MY PIPES COST ME?

Here at Gen X Plumbing our clients are our top priority and we do our best to keep our prices lower than our competitors for all you're plumbing needs! We set the price for winterization based upon the square footage of your home. Winterizing your pipes will run between $199.00-$500.00. Don't worry if you need assistance we do offer payment agreements when needed.
